Shopping with Us
Dufty & Co is a predominantly wholesale company. If you are a member of the buying public, you will see the product we have available and your price. You can purchase directly through the shopping cart, or if you want to view the product first you must contact a reliable jeweler in your vicinity who will work with you more closely on selection, pricing and viewing of the actual stones. Your jeweler will work with us to make your opal purchase a special event for you.
Trade Accounts
If you are in the jewelry industry you can apply for a wholesale trade account with us if you have a Wholesale Tax ID # and are rated with JBT. Existing customers of Dufty & Co are prequalified to purchase. To ensure that only qualified wholesale buyers can be accepted for a trade account we have instituted the following three steps.

This will open an interactive form which you will complete and submit. To qualify as a wholesale buyer, you will be asked for your name, company details, wholesale tax ID # and your JBT #. You must complete the billing and shipping address details on the form. Once the application is completed click SUBMIT and we will receive it via secure e-mail.

Final approval for shopping. When we receive your completed application, we will verify your tax ID# and JBT details. Once approved, we will add you to our wholesale buyers list and email notification to you that you may now shop in our wholesale store. We will include your login details and will also indicate your credit status with us.
Please allow one to three business days for this process to be completed.
You will now be able to track your orders, leave items in your shopping cart for future reference, and edit your account information.
Payments
PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, ACH Transfers, Mastercard, Visa, AmEx and Discover are accepted for payment.
Existing customers with approved credit will also be able to select stones for “Memo” or purchase “On Account”. You will complete a purchase within the shopping cart, selecting "Preferred Customer Payment on Account" or "Preferred Customer Draft Order for Consignment". We will then prepare a draft order which will be completed once you have approved the merchandise and finalize your purchase.
New customers who have not yet been approved for memo or credit may need to provide additional industry credit references. Your wholesale approval e-mail will include the process for establishing credit with us.

Shipping Charges
Shipping charges will be automatically calculated based on value, weight, and shipping destination. They will be added to your purchase. We ship primarily via USPS Express Mail and can also accommodate USPS Priority Mail and FedEx Shipments.
Memo Policy
Memorandum merchandise must be returned or sales reported within 10 days of receiving the memorandum item(s).
Exchange Policy
If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may exchange your purchased item(s) within 30 days. If you wish to shop for further items, we will issue a store credit to your account. The item(s) must be in satisfactory condition for resale, in unused original condition and in their original packaging materials.
Return and Refund Policy
If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may return your item(s) within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price. The item(s) must be in satisfactory condition for resale, in unused original condition and in their original packaging materials. The original shipping charge on your invoice will not be refunded.
To return any item(s) please contact us and we will provide shipping instructions to suit your preferred carrier of choice. Package the items in a well-protected fashion and make sure the package is fully insured.
Warranty
On rare occasions opals can develop natural imperfections that compromise the look of your stone. Our two year warranty ensures that you can rest easy should this happen. The warranty does not cover any man made damage to the stone. Please document the issue first and communicate with us directly before proceeding. High quality photos are needed for us to assess whether or not your stone is covered.
